The West Pennine Moors are also home to an amazing array of food festivals and farmer’s markets. Experience the Pennine Lancashire Food Festival, located in the heart of the Moors. Visit the farmer’s markets at Helmshore Textile Museum, Ramsbottom Market Place, Hoghton Tower and Bolton to sample the best from the area’s producers.

• Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food and Drink (http://www.penninelancashirefestivals.com/) – held in early September at various locations in Pennine Lancashire including many in the scenic West Pennine Moors.
• Manchester Food and Drink Festival (www.foodanddrinkfestival.com) – held in early October in over 450 locations in Greater Manchester, including events in Bolton and Bury.

Farmer's Markets

• Rossendale Farmer’s Market – held at Helmshore Textile Museum every 1st Sunday of the month, 10am to 3pm.
• Ramsbottom Farmer’s Market – held in Market Place every 2nd Sunday, of the month, 10am to 3pm.
• Merchant of Hoghton – held at Hoghton Tower every 3rd Sunday of every month (except July), 10am to 2pm.
• Bolton Farmer’s Market – held in the Victoria Square every 4th Sunday of the month, 10am to 3pm.
• Chorley Farmer's Market - held on Market Street every 3rd Thursday of the month, 9am to 2pm.
