West Pennine Moors partners organise a range of events across the area throughout the year, including the West Pennine Moors Walking Festival and many events in the Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food and Culture.
AN EASY PACED CYCLE RIDE TO HAIGH HALL
Meet on the public car park behind Cuerden Hall (the Sue Ryder Centre) SD566237, at 10-00am. Out to Haigh Hall for lunch on the Lancashire Cycleway and over Healey Nab, with morning coffee at Adlington Marina Cafe. Returning along the old railway route from Red Rock and thence the Leeds Liverpool Canal towpath to Cuerden Park. A moderate ride of about twenty eight miles, 70% off-road/traffic free, back at Cuerden Hall at approx 3-30pm. Contact Brian Parkinson, Tel 01254 772983.

The West Pennine Moors Walking Festival will be held in July this year, with around 7-9 days of walks of varying lengths and type; from mushroom hunts in woodlands to long moorland tramps. Check the Blackburn with Darwen BC Countryside Service web page for further details of the Festival.
